\n BOOTH'S SHOWCASE AT CHURCHGATE FESTIVAL
\nThe annual Churchgate Festival will take place this weekend, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th June. The event has been themed to coincide with the racing at Le Mans and so a superb collection of classic sports cars will be on display at the Parish Church
Booth's Music are hosting a special showcase outside our premises throughout Saturday morning and afternoon. We would like to encourage shoppers and festival visitors to enjoy the many talents of our own teachers, their pupils and other local musicians. The entertainment is planned to begin around 10AM with quite a range of musical styles in mind including Matt Haigh's string orchestra, Barbershop quartet, a samba group and spots from local buskers.
With the six-week summer break just around the corner, it seems like a good time to launch this year’s daytime lessons scheme. The idea was very popular last summer, giving children something productive to do with their time away from school. We expect an even greater number of pupils to sign up this summer – if you would like to know a bit more about the scheme, please use our enquiry form or give the shop a call on 01204 522 908. CALLING ALL ROCK GUITARISTS, BASSISTS, DRUMMERS and SINGERS!
Some of our music tutors are setting up a \"Rock School\" on Wednesday evenings, with four different bands divided into hourly sessions. The scheme is open to all local musicians, alongside current pupils of all ages, and is going to be operated in conjunction with the popular Rock School exam boards - all participanting groups will perform at the end of the course through either a grade three, five or eight band exam and receive a graded certificate accordingly.
